At the request of Madonna Crame and Jennie Easterling, I am pleased to share “my” cobbler recipe. The recipe comes from the Pinewoods Elementary School Cook Book – Cooking Pinewoods Style – published in 2011 and was submitted by the Napolitano Family. I taught both Napolitano children, Kali and AJ.
“Whatever” Cobbler Recipe
1 box yellow or white cake mix, dry
2 (20 oz.) cans fruit pie (cherry, peach, pineapple, strawberry, blueberry)
1 stick melted butter
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour cans of fruit into a 13-x 9-inch pan. Pour cake mix on top of fruit to cover. Drizzle melted butter on top (do not mix). Bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
