 *This is the delicious dessert recipe brought to the Jultrefest by Karin and Kurt Blumenthal, submitted after rave reviews.

RISKREM” – RICE CREAM

Typical Norwegian Christmas Dessert –
An almond is hidden in the bottom of one bowl and gift
is awarded to the lucky one.

1 c. long grain rice (white)
1/2 c. sugar
1 qt milk
1 tsp vanilla
1 pt. whipping cream

Boil rice and milk until rice is very well done (soft)
set to chill – hint: can sit in fridge overnght
hint: to avoid crusting…sprinkle a little sugar on top

Whip cream and add sugar and vanilla. Stir in rice porridge

When serving…in separate bowl –
fresh or frozen strawberries or rasberries pureed for topping.
